Nelson Araujo (born 1987) is an American politician. He served as a Democratic member of the Nevada Assembly.
Early life
Nelson Araujo was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1987.[1] His parents were refugees from the Salvadoran Civil War.[1] He was raised by his mother, who worked as a housekeeper in a hotel.[1]
Araujo earned a BA and MPA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).[2]
Career
Araujo started working for Senator Harry Reid in 2007.[1] He subsequently worked for the United Way of Southern Nevada.[1]
Araujo has served as a member of the Nevada Assembly since 2015.[2]
