Route

First gazetted in 1997[1] SH 11 begins at Puketona Junction, 10 km south of Kerikeri, from SH 10. From there it runs 12.7 km along Puketona Road to Paihia, turning right into Marsden Road at its eastern terminus. SH 11 continues through Paihia, turning right at the end of town into Seaview Road. After changing to Paihia Road, SH 11 continues 14.3 km to its terminus at SH 1 in Kawakawa, where the driver can choose to continue straight ahead to Whangarei (and further afield Auckland) or turn right for Kawakawa township, Kaikohe, Kaitaia and Cape Reinga.
