Nicki is an upcoming American single-camera comedy television series created by Kate Angleo, which is based on the immigration of Nicki Minaj's family from Trinidad and her childhood in Queens, New York. Minaj will executive-produce the series. ABC Family (now Freeform) gave a straight-to-series order in September 2015.[1] Production began in January 2016.[2] In October 2016, Minaj stated the filming was postponed.[3]
