Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria

The Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria (often abbreviated as NAV) is a text prepared by the International Committee on Veterinary Gross Anatomical Nomenclature. It is used as the standard reference for anatomical (zootomical) terminology in the field of Veterinary Science.

The text is continually under revision. The 5th edition is available free of charge from the World Association of Veterinary Anatomists (WAVA) as a PDF file,[1] with last revision in 2012.[2] The 5th edition has not been printed commercially. The 4th edition, published in 1994,[3] was the last commercially printed edition.
