Old Town is an amusement park and outdoor shopping mall located in Celebration, Osceola County, Florida, United States. Operating since 1986, the original purpose of what could now be known as an entertainment complex was to provide a unique shopping experience. The rides were added in the 2000s in order to boost attendance.

Old Town has been known to harbor a small population of squirrels that are photo opportunities for nature photographers and those wanting to take a break from the hectic life of shopping.

Summary

This entertainment complex is located within walking distance of numerous motels, including the Seralago Hotel & Suites Main Gate East, a property that has been under the ownership of former NASA astronaut John Glenn and Henri Landwirth, the founder of Give Kids The World Village.[1][2] Rides include the Windstorm Roller Coaster, Wave Swinger, Century Ferris Wheel, Happy Days Family Go-Kart Track, Super Shot, Merry-Go-Round, Tea Cups, Frog Hopper, and the Wacky Worm Kiddie Coaster. These rides are either in the extreme front or the extreme back of the complex; causing some patrons to confuse Old Town with nearby Fun Spot USA. The Ferris Wheel which has been the signature of the theme park has now been removed. In addition to the Ferris wheel removal, now all classic rides are closed as well.

Shopping is available on premises ranging from mineral products to cameras and handbags. Anywhere from three to ten shops and restaurants share a block of attached buildings; there are nine attached buildings that make up the shopping/dining district of Old Town. Restaurants can be also found; ranging from fast food to fast casual. There is an all-purpose video arcade; video games there are typically released after 2001.

Every Wednesday night is the Little Darlins' Street Party while a cruise of classic cars are the free entertainment every Saturday night. A rock and roll band (specializing in tunes from the 1950s and the 1960s) plays prior to the classic car cruise; providing that there is no inclement weather. Only "stock" vehicles are permitted that are at least 25 years old; racing modifications are penalized with a ban from any future cruises. Decals that do not modify the car for racing purposes may be permitted. Participants in the cruise must also have a valid driver's license, registration, and current proof of insurance.
