Orkdal Church (Norwegian: Orkdal kirke) is a parish church in the municipality of Orkdal in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The church is located in Fannrem, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south of Orkanger. The church is part of the Orkdal parish in the Orkdal deanery in the Diocese of Nidaros.[1]
The church site has been occupied for about 1000 years. The original church existed during the 12th century. The second church building was built around the year 1220 and it existed until 1890 when it was torn down to build a bigger building. The present church was built in 1893.[2]
