Orpheus & Eurydice (musical)

Orpheus & Eurydice is an original musical, based on Greek mythology, with music and lyrics by Andrew J. Hanley and book by Melissa Nally & Andrew J. Hanley. It premiered in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2011, running from August 3–16, directed by Melissa Nally. The show was produced, along with eleven other shows, by Five One productions, a London-based production company.[1] The show was revised and remounted for the 2012 Philadelphia Fringe Festival in September 2012, produced by Green Elephant Theatre Company.

Casting

In the original UK production, Orpheus was played by Michael Kane Libonati. Brooke Bettis played Eurydice, as well as all other parts (Persephone, Tantalus, Charon, Narrator).

In the US premier in Philadelphia, Orpheus was played by Michael Kane Libonati and Eurydice was played by Tara McKiernan.

Recording

A studio cast recording was recorded in March, 2013 featuring Libonati and McKiernan with full orchestrations.
