Park View High School is a public secondary school in Sterling, an unincorporated area in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. The school is part of Loudoun County Public Schools and is located at 400 West Laurel Avenue in the Sterling Park community.
History
Park View High School opened in 1976 and served the entire Sterling Park and Sugarland areas. When Richard Bonieskie opened Park View, it offered state of the art facilities, including a large auditorium and a two-level library, which gave the school the nickname "University of Park View" during the years following its opening.
As eastern Loudoun County began to experience high growth in the 1980s and 1990s, a considerable portion of its student body was fed into Potomac Falls High School, which opened in 1997. In 2003, more of Park View's student body were fed not only into Potomac Falls, but also into Dominion High School which opened that year.
Park View was extensively renovated between 2002 and 2004. The renovations included moving the library to the first floor, expanding it, adding classrooms on the second floor, reconstructing the main offices and guidance offices, the Senior courtyard, and constructing a foyer on the front of the building. In 2005, the auditorium was also renovated and features new seats, a new curtain, and new theatre systems.
In 2015, Park View student Danny Centeno-Miranda was shot and killed while on his way to school. Three people were caught and charged with crimes after the murder. Following Danny's death there was an outpouring of support for not just his family, but students and staff at the school. Other local High Schools rallied around Park View sending in notes of encouragement, and refreshments. [1]

Athletics
The mascot is the Patriot and the sports teams played in the AA Dulles District and Region II until the reorganization of the VHSL classification system in 2013 which left open the possibility of teams to keep old rivalry districts (such as the Dulles District). The new classification of 1A through 6A placed the Park View Patriots in the 4A level, western district. Within 4A West, the Patriots play in the 21B Conference. The new classification system is primarily used for post season play. The Patriots have arguably the most storied athletic reputation in Loudoun County, and have won more state titles than any other Loudoun County school with 14 titles, with most at the old AA level. Any championships won after the reorganization in 2013 are at the new VHSL 4A level. They are:
- five in girls' gymnastics (1982–83; 1988–90)
- three in softball (1989–90; 2002)
- three in boys' soccer (1991–92, 2016)
- one in VML in 2009
- one in baseball in 1984
- one in AA Division 4 football in 1988
- two in girls' track and field in 2007 and 2008
- one in boys' Track and Field 4x100m in 2010
