The Pirate Party (Portuguese: Partido Pirata, PIRATAS) (formerly called Pirate Party of Brazil (Portuguese: Partido Pirata do Brasil), PIRATAS)) is a political party in Brazil. Based on the model of the Swedish Pirate Party, it supports reform of copyright law, freedom of information, and privacy.[1] The party was a founding member of Pirate Parties International.[2]

The party has not yet been registered by the Electoral Court.[1]
