2013-14 Liga Nacional de Ascenso

The Liga Nacional de Ascenso is the second level of Panama's national football club championship. It was founded in 1997 and it consists of 8 teams who play to gain promotion to Liga Panameña de Fútbol. From 2008 the champion plays a playoff against the bottom team in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol in order to gain promotion while the bottom team of the league is relegated to the Copa Rommel Fernández. Before 2008 all champions were automatically promoted and the bottom team in Liga Panameña de Fútbol automatically relegated. The league presided by Ricardo Escobar.
