Major celebrations are held at Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple marking the Vaikunta Ekadasi. The Ekadasi celebrations coincide with the month-long celebrations of Dhanurmasa. Celebrations are held in accordance with the full Vaishnavite traditions. The devotees have an experience similar to attending the Brahmotsavams of Tirumala by witnessing the special decorations of temple deity during Ekadasi celebrations. It takes 2 to 3 hours for darshan on the Vaikunta Ekadasi occasion. The decoration is very beautiful; every year new forms of decoration are devised by the committee members. Archanas are performed between 7 am and 12 midnight. Having the darshan of the special decorations of temple deity is an occasion of great spiritual importance. A ticket worth Rs 50/- is needed for Darshan of swamy varu for 2 days I.e., on vaikunta ekadashi and the next day and it continues if the flow of devotees continues. Further archana costs rs 100/-

All over Telangana they are only two temples of Sri Ranganatha Swamy one is in Hyderabad and the other is in Khammam District.
