The Outer Station was a train station in Reading, Pennsylvania, that served as a major hub between Philadelphia and Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Built in 1874, the station closed in 1969 and burned to the ground in 1978. According to the Reading Eagle, the station was one of two in Reading, the other being the Franklin Street station. The Outer Station was on the outskirts of the city.[2][3]
