Rewal [ˈrɛval] (German Rewahl) is a village in Gryfice County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Rewal.[1] It lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) north-west of Gryfice and 80 km (50 mi) north of the regional capital Szczecin.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania.
