Rick Winkel

Richard J. "Rick" Winkel (born September 25, 1956) is an American politician and lawyer.

Born in Kankakee, Illinois, Winkel received his bachelor's degree in economics at University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign and his law degree at DePaul University College of Law. He practiced law. From 1995 to 2003, Winkel served in the Illinois House of Representatives as a Republican and then served in the Illinois State Senate from 2003 to 2007. Winkel is the director of the Office of Public Leadership at the University of Illinois' Institute of Government and Public Affairs.[1][2]
