Rudolf Bürger (31 October 1908 – 20 January 1980) was a Romanian international footballer of German ethnicity in the 1920s and 1930s who is one of a few men who participated in each of the three pre-War FIFA World Cups.
Bürger played football for Ripensia Timişoara, the first professional team in Romania which came to prominence after 1932 under the direction of Rudolf Wetzer[2][3] and was strong in the 1930s.[4][5]
Wetzer was both captain and coach of the Romanian national team at the 1930 World Cup. Bürger did not play in the 2nd World Cup but made appearances in both the first and third editions of the competition.[6]
