Setanta Sports Asia is a sports television channel operating in Asia owned by Discovery Communications. [2]

Setanta Sports Asia is currently available on TV Platforms in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia-Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, India, The Philippines, and Taiwan, as well as across Asia through an online service, Setanta Sports Plus. Setanta Sports Asia is part of the Setanta Sports group of television channels that operate around the world in Ireland and Turkey.

Current Setanta Sports Asia rugby broadcast content includes the Super Rugby, The Rugby Championship (formerly Tri-Nations), NRL, State of Origin, England, Ireland and Wales home international tests, Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect Pro12, Anglo-Welsh Cup, ITM Cup, and Currie Cup. Setanta Sports Asia’s coverage also includes GAA Football and Hurling.

History

In February 2011 Setanta Sports Asia launched in Hong Kong on Now TV, Malaysia-Brunei on the Astro platform. In June 2015, Setanta Sports in Dublin confirmed it has sold its Asian operations to Discovery Communications.[3]
