Sholinganallur taluk

Sholinganallur taluk is a taluk in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu, India. It was created in 2009 by the trifurcation of Tambaram taluk. The headquarters is the town of Sholinganallur.

Demographics

According to the 2011 census, the taluk of Sholinganallur had a population of 548,654 with 276,828 males and 271,826 females. There were 982 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 81.23. Child population in the age group below 6 was 28,905 Males and 27,521 Females.[1]
