Sud-Ubangi is one of the 26 provinces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.[1] It lies in the north of the country on the Ubangi River. Its capital is Gemena.

History

From 1966 to 2015, Sud-Ubangi was administered as a district as part of Équateur Province.

Administration

The capital of Sud-Ubangi is the town of Gemena.[2] The separately administered city of Zongo was to be capital of the new province.
