SwaraZankar Music Festival is an annual Hindustani classical music festival held in Pune, India.

The Event

The three-day festival started in 2009. Some of the renowned Hindustani classical music artistes perform at the event. SwaraZankar is a place to come and enjoy Indian Classical Music. The chief objective of its founder, pt. Atulkumar Upadhye - a noted violinist all over the world using only fingering without using meends or glides, characteristic on Indian Music, is to popularize Indian Classical Music. To create awareness for Indian Classical Music and to prepare strong audiences for future talents, SwaraZankar travels from city to city. currently, SwaraZankar has covered cities like Pune, Aurangabad, Nashik and Kolhapur, Mumbai, Jalgaon, Belgaum, Dharwad, Solapur, Nagpur, Ratnagiri and Pandharpur. To add into the list SwaraZankar will be conducting Swarazankar Indore, Bengaluru and Chennai too. All the top artists and Maestros like Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma, Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt, Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Pt. Anindo Chatterjee and many other excellent musicians have joined us in our cause and thus are a part of our family.[1]

SwaraZankar, Swara means melodious voice and Zankar is sound of payal.
