They are named after Baron Charles E.P.T. Sydenham, Governor-General of Upper Canada from 1839 to 1841.[2]

Lower Sydenham Falls is a 3 metre high and 4 metre wide classical waterfall. Middle Sydenham Falls is a 5 metre high and 5 metre wide classical waterfall. Both of these waterfalls are seasonal and best viewed in the springtime.[3]

Nearby attractions include Webster's Falls, Tew's Falls, Bruce Trail and Rock Chapel in Dundas.[4]
