Taiser Town
Taiser Town or Taiser Town Scheme-45 (Urdu: تیسر ٹاؤن ) is one of the neighborhoods of Malir Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It has been established by Malir Development Authority to resettle people displaced due to the construction of Lyari Expressway along the Lyari River. It is located near Gulshan-e-Maymar toll plaza. Taiser Town is also known as Lyari Basti.
There are several ethnic groups in Taiser Town including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of Malir Town is estimated to be nearly one million.
