Takeo Wakabayashi (若林 竹雄 Wakabayashi Takeo, August 29, 1907 – August 7, 1937) was a Japanese football player.

Biography

Wakabayashi was born in Hyogo. He played for Kobe Icchu Club and was a member of Japan national team for 1930 Far Eastern Championship Games football competition in Tokyo. He was the first player in Japan National Football Team to score a hat-trick in debut. The same feat would be achieved 80 years later by Sota Hirayama. Wakabayashi died on August 7, 1937 in Hyogo[1]
