Tale of Fairy Tail: Ice Trail (Japanese: TALE OF FAIRY TAIL ICE TRAIL ~氷の軌跡~ アイストレイル Hepburn: Teiru obu Fearī Teiru - Aisu Toreiru) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuusuke Shirato, based on Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail series. It ran from 2014 to 2015, and is published in North America by Kodansha Comics USA.
Plot
The story takes place after Gray Fullbuster losses his parents and his master Ur and before joining Fairy Tail.

- Gray Fullbuster (グレイ・フルバスター Gurei Furubasutā)
- A ice mage wizard,a former disciple of Ur.
- Gildarts Clive (ギルダーツ・クライヴ Girudātsu Kuraivu)
- An S-Class wizard who is notorious as Fairy Tail's strongest member.
- Torch Endeavor (トーチ・エンデバー Tōchi Endebā)
- A member of the Magic Council, being a former Councilor and the Warden of the Mage Prison Black Vox.
Release
Yuusuke Shirato began serializing the manga in Kodansha's Monthly Fairy Tail Magazine from July 17, 2014 to July 17, 2015.
The series was licensed for an English language release in North America by Kodansha USA on August 29, 2015, with the first volume released on December 29, 2015.[1][2]
