The OA is a television drama series created by Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij that is slated to debut in 2016 on Netflix.[2] The first series will consist of eight one-hour episodes and will be produced by Plan B and Anonymous Content.[3]

The series was first announced in March 2015.[6] Marling is starring, Batmanglij is directing, and both are writing and executive producing.[7]
