Tipico is an international provider of sports betting and casino games based in Saint Julian's in Malta. The company has branches in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Gibraltar and Colombia. Additionally, Tipico.com operates in Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Malta, Netherlands and Sweden. The Managing Director of Tipico is Jan Bolz.

Tipico Co. Ltd and Tipico Casino Ltd were founded in 2004 as international trading companies in the commercial register of the Malta Financial Services Authority. In addition to the online business, Tipico operates outlets in Germany and has a franchise network of over 750 branches. Across Europe there are more than 1,000 branches. Tipico is one of seven companies, which according to the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Interior, has been issued a license for sports betting in the initial assignment. In 2012 Tipico accepted about 790 million bets.^[1]

Sponsorship

In Germany, Tipico sponsors Bundesliga club Hamburger SV, SV Werder Bremen, Freiburg, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, and the second division club RB Leipzig . In addition, Oliver Kahn is a spokesman for Tipico and advertises with the slogan "your bet in safe hands".

Tipico is competition sponsor for the Austrian Bundesliga from the 2014-15 season. The agreement was concluded for three years.^[2]
