Titan Studios was an American video game developer founded in June 2008 by the core team previously working as DarkStar Industries.[1] It includes former members with experience at Epic Games, Ubisoft, Blizzard Entertainment and Lionhead Studios. It was a subsidiary of Yingpei Games (formerly known as Epic Games China) and dissolved in 2011.[2]

Titan Studios first project was Fat Princess, a downloadable game for the PlayStation Network which was released on July 30, 2009. Fat Princess fared well critically as well as commercially, with game review sites such as IGN praising the game for its quirky style, fun gameplay, and emphasis on teamwork.

Formation of Fun Bits

In 2010, three of the team members from Fat Princess of Titan Studios started Atomic Operations, which was then renamed as Fun Bits Interactive. After Titan completed Fat Princess, Fun Bits continued work on the project releasing the Fat Roles DLC, which supported additional classes, private servers and clan support.[3]

Formation of Carbon Games

In 2011, members of Titan Studios started Carbon Games, with a focus on developing indie titles for any platform they like and with the ability to interact with the public any way they want.[4]
