Thomas Joseph Myslinski, Jr. (born December 7, 1968, in Rome, New York) is a professional American football strength and conditioning coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was strength and conditioning coach for the Cleveland Browns until the end of the 2009 season. He is also a former National Football League offensive lineman. He was originally drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1992 NFL Draft and played nine seasons in the NFL for seven different teams.
Early years
Myslinski played college football at the University of Tennessee and was a letterman in football and track & field. He started at offensive guard for back-to-back SEC championship teams (1989–90) and was also a member of the 1991 NCAA Champion track & field team.
Professional career
Dallas Cowboys (first stint)
Myslinski was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 1992 NFL Draft and was waived on September first.[1]
Cleveland Browns
He was waived on October 11, 1992.[2]
Buffalo Bills
On April 7, 1993, he was signed by the Buffalo Bills.[3] He was waived on August 31.[4] On September 1 he was re-signed.[5]
Chicago Bears
On December 1, 1993, he was signed by the Chicago Bears.[6]
Jacksonville Jaguars
He was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 1995 NFL Expansion Draft from the Chicago Bears roster.
Pittsburgh Steelers (first stint)
On August 28, 1996, he was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers.[7] He was waived on August 26, 1996.[8]
Indianapolis Colts
On February 20, 1998, he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts.[9] He was limited by a rotator cuff surgery to four games and was not to re-signed.
Dallas Cowboys (second stint)
On September 24, 1999, he was signed by the Dallas Cowboys.[10]
Pittsburgh Steelers (second stint)
On April 8, 2000, he was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers.[11] He was waived on September 1, 2001.[12]
Personal life
Myslinski has served as a strength and conditioning coach for football at a professional and collegiate level. He developed the “Tunch Punch Ladder” hand agility pad.
