USS Omaha

Three ships of the United States Navy have been named USS Omaha after the city of Omaha, Nebraska. A fourth has been announced.

USS Omaha (1869) was an Algoma-class screw sloop commissioned in 1872 that served in the Atlantic and Asiatic Squadrons, scrapped in 1914.
USS Omaha (CL-4) was the lead ship of the Omaha-class light cruiser commissioned in 1923, served during World War II, scrapped in 1946.
USS Omaha (SSN-692) was a Los Angeles-class submarine commissioned in 1978 that served during the last years of the Cold War, and which has been decommissioned and laid up at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility since 1995.
USS Omaha (LCS-12) will be an Independence-class littoral combat ship.
