Muse concert chronology |
The US Campus Invasion Tour 2005 was a small concert tour by English alternative rock band Muse in order to increase their fanbase in the United States. The tour began on 8 April at Boca Raton and ended on 7 May at Austin and was supported by Razorlight. During the Tour the band played in mainly arenas (some being the largest that Muse had played in The USA) with very low ticket prices in order to attract as many fans as possible.[1]
The Tour featured smaller setlists than on the recent Absolution Tour, with each gig having only 13-15 songs played.
This tour was very significant in building Muse's popularity in America prior to the Black Holes & Revelations album, which would be their major American commercial breakthrough. Two songs from Black Holes and Revelations, "Assassin" and "Exo-Politics", were played here, ahead of their release on the album. Two more songs, "Glorious" and "Crying Shame", which were debuted during the Absolution Tour also received airings although these would eventually become B-Sides.
