UnionBanCal Corporation (stylized as UnionBanCal) is a bank holding company in San Francisco, California. UnionBanCal has assets of $105 billion at December 31, 2013.^[1] UnionBanCal has the largest presence in the U.S. among all other Japanese Banks and in 2013 stated that its aim is to grow to the tenth largest financial operating institution in the U.S. through aggressive acquisition(s).^[2]

It is a member of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. In May 2014, Union Bank announced it will be changing its legal name from Union Bank N.A. to MUFG Union Bank, N.A. effective July 1, 2014.^[3]
