Urmil Thakur (born 1 April 1958) is an Indian politician from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.
She was a Member, Panchat Samiti, Sujanpur, 1995, Zila Parishad, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, 1995–98, Elected To State Assembly In 1998, Parliamentary Secretary in Himachal Pradesh Government,[1] 1998–2003, Again Elected To State Assembly In 2007[2]
Personal life
Urmil Thakur was born on 1 April 1958. Her father was Late shri Roop Singh Rana. She is BA, B.ED,; Married to Bhupinder Singh Thakur; two sons & a daughter. Daughter-in-Law of Jagdev Chand Thakur stalwart leader of Bharatiya Janata Party from Himachal Pradesh. Urmil Thakur quits BJP & Joined Indian National Congress on April 12, 2014[3]
