Viktor Romanovich Djalilov (Uzbek: Виктор Романович Жалилов, Russian: Виктор Романович Джалилов) (born 17 March 1952) football manager and former player.
Career
Djalilov played for Tekstilshik Namangan as player.
Managing career
He started managing career at Sohibkor Halkabod. In 1992 he was head coach of Politotdel which promoted to Uzbek League, finishing First League runner-up after Shifokor Guliston.
In 1995-1999 Djalilov was head coach of Navbahor Namangan. Navbahor won 1996 Uzbek League, twice Uzbek Cup over this period and four time finished 3rd in League.[1] In 1996 he was named by UFF - Coach of the Year. He won this award three times, once with Pakhtakor in 2002 and Mash'al Mubarek (2005).
Since 2002 he was in coach staff of Pakhtakor Tashkent. On 19 February 2002 club management appointed Djalilov as head coach of Pakhtakor, replacing Sergey Butenko.[2]
In 2002-03 AFC Champions League on April 9, 2003 Pakhtakor lost first leg match of semifinal to BEC Tero Sasana with 1:3 and in home match Pakhtakor on April 22 won only with 1:0. After that match Djalilov resigned his post and his successor Tachmurad Agamuradov who already was working as consulting coach became new coach of Pakhtakor. Djalilov remained in club.[3] In 2005 Djalilov finished runner-up in League with Mash'al Mubarek.
On 22 October 2008 the Pakhtakor appointed experienced Victor Djalilov as acting coach, after Ravshan Khaydarov resigned his job (club lost Metallurg Bekabad with 1:2, widening gap between Kuruvchi)[4][5]
Djalilov resigned his position, after Pakhtakor appointed new head coach Miodrag Radulović on 21 December 2009.[6] In January 2009 Djalilov was appointed as head coach of Navbahor.[7]
On 23 September 2010 he became head coach of Dynamo Samarkand.[8] After matchday 11 of 2011 Uzbek League Djalilov was sacked from his position for unsuccessful start in League: club won only two matches of 11.[9]
In September 2011 Djalilov moved back to Pakhtakor and became general manager, director of the club.[10]
On 23 June 2015 UFF appointed him as new head coach of Uzbekistan U-22 team.[11]
