The 1992 Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was the 8th edition of the event, organized by the world's governing body, the FIVB in conjunction with the IOC. It was held in Barcelona, Spain from 26 July to 9 August 1992.

* In the match Japan vs. United States, United States captain Bob Samuelson should be ejected at the end of set 4 for arguing with officials. That meant an extra point to Japan with the score 14–13. The referees did not notice that and the game continued. United States won the match 3–2 (15–8, 11–15, 10–15, 17–16, 16–14) and Japanese coach launched a protest on 27 July. Consequently, set 5 was annulled and the score of set 4 was awarded 15–13 to Japan.
