In Karnataka Welspun has signed agreements for developing two wind projects of 750 MW and 100 MW.[22] In Rajasthan the company aims to develop a capacity of over 300 MW. A memorandum of understanding is signed with the Government of Andhra Pradesh to develop 500 MW wind capacity.[23]

In June 2014, Asian Development Bank made a US$50 million equity investment into Welspun Renewables, the largest direct equity investment in the renewable energy sector by ADB. [24][25][26]
