History

2015: "Oh My Love", record deal and debut EP"

The Score got their breakthrough in early 2015 when their track "Oh My Love" was chosen by the British supermarket Asda, which is owned by Walmart, to soundtrack their new advertising campaigns. The series of adverts formed part of Asda's "Save Money, Live Better" campaign. The band were chosen to provide the soundtrack to the adverts because, according to Chris Chalmers from Asda, "Part of [The Score]'s attraction was that they were unsigned and unknown".[1]

The song rocketed The Score into the public attention, and "Oh My Love" reached number 43 on the UK Singles Chart in July 2015. The track became the most Shazamed song from an advert so far in 2015.[2]

Following "Oh My Love"'s success, The Score were signed to a record deal with Republic Records. They released their debut EP, "Where Do You Run" in September 2015.[3]

The song also appears in the 2015 film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip.

"On and On" was featured in the Spring programming line-up for HBO.
