Zane /ˈzn/ is a name of Semitic origin. A variant of Jon from Hebrew, meaning "God's gracious gift". The name is also of Arabic origins meaning "Good" in its masculine form and "Beautiful" in its feminine form. In English-speaking countries it is used as both a given name and surname.
