Zavodski District (Belarusian: Заводскі, Russian: Заводской, Zavodskoy Raion) is an adiministrative subdivision of the city of Minsk, Belarus. The "Factory district" was named after the plants "Minsk Tractor Works" (MTZ)[1] and "Minsk Automobile Plant" (MAZ).[2]

Geography

The district is situated in the south-eastern area of the city and borders with the raions Partyzanski and Lyeninski. Out of citizen beltway, Zavodski counts the area of Maly Trostenets extermination camp, and a ground, similar to an exclave, linked to the rest of the city by a road.

Transport

Zavodski is served by the subway line "Avtozavodskaya" and by tramway. It is also crossed by the beltway "MKAD".
