Zeitoun (Arabic: الزيتون), also El Zeitoun, is a famous district in Cairo, Egypt. It became known for its Marian apparitions during the years 1968–1971.

It was the birthplace of Fathia Nkrumah (born Fathia Rizk to a Coptic family), wife of Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana.

In Arabic, the name literally means olives.
