Şehzade Mahmud (son of Mehmed III)
Şehzade Mahmud (1584 - 1602) was an Ottoman Prince, the eldest son of sultan Mehmed III.
Şehzade Mahmud was born in Manisa in 1584, he was the eldest son of Mehmed III, who later ascended to the Ottoman Throne.
Fearing the influence of his mother and his power and prestige, his death was due to Safiye Sultan's intringues.
