Ahmadpur is a village located in Kapurthala district, Punjab. It is located 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from Kapurthala , which is both district and sub-district headquarters of Ahmadpur. The village is administrated by a sarpanch, an elected representative of the village.[1]
Demography
As per Population Census 2011, the Ahmadpur village has population of 714 of which 360 are males while 354 are females. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village.[2] Literacy rate of Ahmadpur is 92.49%, higher than state average of 75.84% of Punjab.
