Akole (Vidhan Sabha constituency)
Akole Vidhan Sabha constituency (Marathi: अकोले विधान सभा मतदारसंघ) is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in Western India.[1]
Overview
Akole (constituency number 216) is one of the twelve Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in the Ahmednagar district. It comprises part of Sangamner tehsil and the entire Akole tehsil of the district.[2]
Akole is part of the Shirdi Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Vidhan Sabha segments in this district, namely Sangamner, Shirdi, Kopargaon, Shrirampur and Nevasa. It is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled tribes.[3]
