Aleksandar Veselinov Vasilev (Bulgarian: Александър Веселинов Василев; born 27 April 1995) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Beroe Stara Zagora on loan from Ludogorets Razgrad.[1]

Club career

Early career

Vasilev started his career in the local Levski Strazhitsa. After that he moved to Vidima-Rakovski, before getting invate to join Hristo Stoichkov's academy Chavdar Etropole.[2] In 2012 he made his debut for Etropole in B Group with the winning goal for 1:0 win against Akademik Sofia.[3] In the next season he played in 22 matches, but most of them joining as a substitute. In the summer of 2013 he moved to the B Group team Kaliakra Kavarna where he was titular for the 2013–14, before joining the Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad.

Ludogorets Razgrad

On 6 June 2014 he signed with Ludogorets together with his teammate from Bulgaria U19 - Preslav Petrov.[4] On 2 August 2014 Vasilev made his debut in A Group for Ludogorets in a match against Marek Dupnitsa.[5] A year later, on 21 August 2015, he scored his first goal for the team in a 3:0 win against Pirin Blagoevgrad.[6]

Loan to Beroe

On 14 June 2016 he signed for Beroe Stara Zagora on a season long loan deal, since he couldn't get enouth playing time in Ludogorets.[7] He made his debut on 7 August 2016 in the match against Slavia Sofia scoring a goal for the 2:1 win.[8]
