Anastasios Donis (born 29 August 1996) is a Greek footballer who plays for OGC Nice on loan from Juventus.[1][2]
Career
Despite only playing with Lugano since the beginning of the season, the Greek forward has already written his name in the club's history books, scoring twice on 2 March against FC Luzern to fire his side into the Swiss Cup final for the first time in 23 years. The 19-year old was in unstoppable form on the night, netting coolly through the goalkeeper's legs with barely two minutes on the clock before striking the eventual winner moments after half-time to register his fourth goal in this season's competition.[3][4] On 25 May 2016, he netted the last goal sealing the victory against St.Gallen in the last matchday of the championship, helping his club to avoid relegation.[5]
On 29 May 2016, despite his solid performance, did not win the Swiss Cup, as they lost 1-0 in the final from the relegated FC Zürich. [6] He ended his loan to Lugano having 29 appearances (8 goals, 7 assists) in all competitions. On 20 July 2016, Tasos Donis will continue his career at Nice. The French club has officially announced the deal with the Greek striker, who moves there on long season loan from Juventus, with a buying option at the end of the season.[7] On 14 August 2016, he made his debut as a substitute with the club in a 1-0 home win against Stade Rennais F.C. On 3 November 2016, he made his international club debut playing as a late substitute in a 2-0 home loss against FC Red Bull Salzburg for the UEFA Europa League.
International career
In March 2016 he was member of the Greece U21 squad who played against Israel U21 and Albania U21.[1]
