Bacon soup is soup made with bacon. Generally a number of vegetables are added^[1] and often a thickening agent such as pearl barley, lentils^[2] or corn flour.

Many variations exist, which may incorporate primary ingredients such as cabbage,^[3][4] beans,^[5] potato,^[6] pumpkin^[7] and rice.^[8]
