Barbata is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 50 kilometres (31 mi) east of Milan and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 628 and an area of 8.0 square kilometres (3.1 sq mi).[1]
