Borama District (Somali: Degmada Borama), also spelled Boramo is a district of the Awdal region in northwestern Somalia.[1] Its capital is Borama. Local control of the district is disputed between Awdalland, a proposed autonomous state, and Somaliland, a self-declared republic that is internationally recognized as an autonomous region of Somalia.
