Chittora is an ILRC and village in Phagi Tehsil in Jaipur district, Rajasthan.[4]

Chittora is a prominent village under Phagi Tehsil in Jaipur district. This village was a Jagir (Zamindari) under the erstwhile princely State of Jaipur. Thakur Devi Singh ji was the Jagirdar of Chittora. Shri Sheobaksh Joshi was the Kamdar (Estate Agent) of the Jagirdar. Thakur Devisinghji was succeeded by Thakur Sher Singhji. Brigadier Mahendra Pratap Singhji was one of his five younger brothers. Thakur Sher Singhji built a fortress in the village which is the grandest building in the area. More than 2500 bighas of land in and around Chittora besides land in Khandar in Madhopura have been conferred to the jagir by the rulers of the Rajput Kingdom of Jaipur.

The demographically dominant communities of the village include Jats of Lamba, Jhaswal, Mhiya, Kharbas, Saran, Jhunta Gotras, Brahmins of Binwal gotra, Nai ( Sen), Yadav, Khati, Balai, Johi, Darji, Kumhar, Pindara, Raigar and Harijan castes besides some Muslim families. Renwal village, also known as Renwal- Chittora was the nearest semi urbanised village which used to have a railway station on a narrow gauge rail line. The rail line has since been dismantled and the rail connectivity has been lost decades ago.

The village has grown in importance in the 2010s with expansion of Jaipur city till the outskirts of Chittora with Rohini township and announcement of education hub near the village.

Rajasthani dialect of Hindi and the Hindi language are the major media of conversation by the locals, though English is spoken by the educated persons as second language.
