History
Glamoč parish is very old, it is mentioned in the 14th century,[3] but disappeared during the Ottoman rule in Bosnia.
The parish was restored in 1872. First parish church of Saint Elias in Glamoč was built in 1903. The church was looted and burned down during World War II and rebuilt in 1969. As part of the inter-ethnic Bosnian war, Serb soldiers mined and destroyed the church and rectory in 1992. Building of the present church started in 2001. The new church was built near the ruins of the old church.
