The Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia (CACSA) is an art museum and art space located in Adelaide, Australia. The CACSA is one of Australia's most prominent contemporary art organisations,[3] and its mission is "promote, develop and support contemporary art practice and critical thinking through South Australian, national and international exhibitions, publications, debate and associated activities."[1]

The CACSA was established in 1942 as the Contemporary Art Society as a breakway from the Royal Society of Arts.[1] Today, the CACSA is one of the 12 members of the national Contemporary Art Organisations of Australia (CAOS).[4] The CACSA also publishes the quarterly art journal Contemporary Visual Arts and Culture Broadsheet,[5] and the journal is currently in its 44th year of publication.[5] CACSA has also undertaken regular large scale survey and multi-sited survey's of contemporary South Australian art as part of the CACSA Contemporary series including CACSA Contemporary 2010: THE NEW NEW, CACSA CONTEMPORARY 2012: NEW SA ART + IBIDEM: PUBLIC ART PROJECT and CACSA Contemporary 2015. CASCA also provides a space to predominantly emerging and experimental arts practice as part of the Project Space exhibition program.
