The Beachouse is a family entertainment complex located on the foreshore at Glenelg in Adelaide, South Australia.The five story complex also features a function room, The Function at the Beachouse. The Beachouse replaced the old arcade/entertainment venue, Magic Mountain which stood from 1982-2004.
Attractions
The Beachouse has the following attractions:
- The Slides, three enclosed and heated slides, one of which accommodates rafts, up to 130 metres.
- The Cars, Soli Italian Formula One dodgem cars.
- The Castle, a 5-storey play castle.[1]
- The Carousel, the old carousel from Magic Mountain, restored.
- The Golf, an 18-hole mini-golf course.
- The Boats, Bumper boats equipped with water cannons.
- The Train, a miniature train.
- The Wheel, Australia's first single arm Ferris wheel.
- A large game arcade.
- A cafe.
The Big Wedgie
In December 2015, The Beachouse achieved the Guinness World Record for the worlds tallest inflatable water slide. The Big Wedgie was blown away in a larger storm in January 2016. In July 2016, it was announced that The Big Wedgie will be returning within summer 2016/17, with three brand new slides and attractions.
